Homeowners Can Join The West+ Revolution!01 Apr 2008

Spring is when the garden gets going again and investing in the right compost is vital in order for plants to be vibrant and blooming throughout the season.

To help the garden reach its full potential Westland Horticulture – with its brand promise of delivering garden health – will be on the small screen with helpful advice.

A brand new television advertisement featuring the revolutionary West + Advanced Compost gives gardeners the information they need on how to regenerate and create colourful pots, containers and flower and vegetable beds.

It targets everyone concerned about garden health whether they are keen to help the environment, fight against drought, want plant roots to grow to their full potential or simply want the best results with the least effort.

West+ is a unique ingredient made from natural wood fibre taken from trees grown in forests managed in accordance with the FSC scheme.  It has been added to West+ Advanced Composts reducing the weight by a massive 50%.

It also offers other significant advantages for the garden:

  • Helps root development, allowing them to utilise the whole pot or container resulting in more healthy and vibrant plants.
  • Retains moisture more effectively than conventional composts and is easily re-wet if it dries out.
  • Extends the time when supplementary feeding is required.
  • Is 50% lighter than conventional composts making it easier to lift and transport.
  • Is a meaningful alternative to peat and is itself produced from a sustainable resource.

West+ will be shown on digital channels throughout the UK week commencing 28th April for four weeks.  This is part of a £2 million investment from Westland Horticulture, designed to further educate gardeners about the benefits of using peat alternatives.

Help will also be available throughout all stockists, as promotional stands will provide even more educational aids to ensure that everyone can receive the benefits of West+.
