It’s not just edible plants that make it into the new seed varieties list, Unwins have added more than ten new flower varieties to its extensive range. Many are reselected firm favourites, classic garden plants that will create drama and impact in the border.

Look out for the delightful Aquilegia ‘Nora Barlow’; it’s easy to grow and has beautiful pink, green and red, fully double flowers. A great cottage garden plant that will make a beautiful display during spring and early summer. Don’t miss the sweetly fragrant and ever popular Hesperis Sweet Rocket ‘Enchantment’. It’s the perfect way to add fragrance to the garden easily. Expect shades of pale lilac, white and deep rich purple flowers with a fabulous sweet fragrance, especially in the evening; not bad from one packet of seeds.

Other scented delights include the brilliant flowers of Nicotiana ‘Sensation Mixed’. It’s a fabulous mixture of vibrant coloured flowers that smell extremely sweet and are very popular as cut flowers.
