Westland Leads The Industry To Reduce Peat Use
Westland Horticulture is the UK brand leader in producing composts and other growing media and is leading the way in reducing the use of peat to meet Government targets.By 2010 the British Government has set a target for a 90% reduction in the use of peat for garden products.   Here, Westland technical director Jamie Robinson, is pictured receiving the Growing Media Initiative certificate confirming that the business has already achieved 55% peat reduction in retail bagged products and also has an audited action plan to work towards the 2010 target.
